Male breast reduction is usually performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia. Results should be immediately noticeable to the patient. Patients will experience swelling and soreness following the procedure but the symptoms should subside within a weeks times. Most patients will be able to return to work after this time frame. Bruising will continue for up to 2 weeks and patient should be able to resume normal physical activities with the weeks to follow.
